KINGSTON STATE PARK
Kingston State Park is only 14 miles from the New Hampshire seacoast and is close to many attractions such as Canobie Lake Park, The Fox Run Mall, various antique shops, and fine restaurants. The park is 44 acres in size, and includes fireplaces and picnic areas, a playground, softball field, and three game areas for horseshoes and volleyball. Two bathhouses with dressing rooms and flush toilets are available for the 300 feet of swim area, with an extra 100 feet of tree line frontage.
Kingston State Park is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Admission is $3 for adults; $1 for children ages 6-11; children 5 and under and NH residents 65 and older are admitted free. Kingston residents are admitted free of charge Monday through Friday (except holidays).
Kingston State Park accepts reservations for business parties, wedding receptions, kids groups, family functions, and other general gatherings. There is a non-refundable reservation fee - contact the park for details on reserving the group use areas.
1. Kingston State Park offers a large, designated swimming area in Great Pond.
2. Lifeguards are on duty during peak summer months for swimmer safety.
3. Swimming is free with park admission but unsupervised outside lifeguard hours.
4. The sandy beach provides easy access to the water and space for sunbathing or picnicking beside the pond.
5. Canoeing and kayaking are also permitted if you prefer more active water sports alongside swimming.
The park offers a variety of boating options for visitors. Canoes and kayaks are popular choices, with plenty of space on the 44-acre Great Pond to paddle around. There is also an area designated specifically for fishing boats. However, it's important to note that no motorized watercrafts are allowed in order to maintain peace and tranquility within the park environment.

Kingston State Park is located near Amesbury, Derry and Dracut
Kingston State Park offers picnic tables and grills, perfect for family outings. There's also a pavilion available to rent.
Biking enthusiasts should be aware that the park offers limited options for cycling. The terrain is mainly flat and wooded, suitable primarily for leisurely rides rather than challenging trails.
Please note: biking paths are not clearly marked within this forested area; it's advisable to bring a map or GPS device. Also remember, cyclists must share these routes with pedestrians so caution and respect are essential at all times.
During peak season, expect some congestion on popular pathways due to increased foot traffic from picnickers and swimmers heading towards the lake. It's best if you plan your ride during off-peak hours or weekdays when there may be fewer visitors around.
Lastly, always wear appropriate safety gear such as helmets while riding in order to prevent any potential injuries.
