July 13 Great park for kids by Armyengr

Camped here 5-9 July 2011, 4 adults, 2 children. This is a great place for kids--shallow sandy beach, playground and bike paths. However, I like a bit of privacy when camping and all the sites here are right on top of each other,you are always 20 ft. or so from your neighbors with little to separate you-very crowded. Washrooms are pretty decent for a state park.

We go camping here every summer. We love the Brimley area. You have lots to see and do. It is a great central location. You can get locally smoked whitefish and trout. You can take a day trip to the Soo area. Then the drive along lake shore drive. The park is clean and well kept. Water & electric with dump site available. Several Casinos and golf course near by.

July 14 Location location location by campingams

We very much enjoyed our recent six night stay at Brimley State Park. The sites are generous in size and with lots of lush green grass. Wonderful sandy beach with large ships passing close by all day on their way to and from the Soo Locks. Facilities were cleaned regularly and staff was extremly pleasant. I will add that there seemed to be increased vehicle traffic at this park day and night-this could be because of all the local attractions... something I noticed since I travel with a small toddler.
