friendly and helpful ranger, beautiful woods and very clean

We were out for a picnic on Memorial Day at Golden Memorial. Park now has two neat rustic cabins for rental. There were about 8 RV Spots with Decks overlooking the bluff over the lake all rented. Though there were a good many families enjoying the park today it was quite serene.Have not seen park in this good of condition in many many years of going out there.

We really enjoyed this park. Very well maintained, lots of fire wood even though we were in a fire ban this fall due to lack of rain. Lots of trails, park benches everywhere on the walking trails and around the lake. There is an aboundence of wildlife. The park ranger is very hospitible and helpful.
