March 16 Park gates closed 3/16/2020

Im interested to know why the parks gates are closed . We walk there ALL the time Today we couldnt get in to park please let me know why you are keeping people out of the park dont tell me its because of Corvid-19 closings . . No chance of getting it in the open air with no one around Thanks

This has one of the best, if not the best shotgun range in Illinois.

I fly RC all electric airplanes sometimes on the west end of the park. Nice quiet place with good tall grass to protect plane from a bad landing.

Bring your own shells, shotguns, clays, thrower and lunch and have some great family fun. Bring the Boy or Girl Scouts too.

Great park for hiking, bird watching and fishing! I go here at least once a week. Plus the Hunting and Fishing Days here is not to be missed...I go every year!

November 6 Great place to hunt phasents......

They run a fantastic pheasant hunting area during the fall. Great staff and fantastic cover for the hunt. It is a release area, but the hunt is almost identical to the real wild hunt experience.

If you are looking for a hike in a natural park this is where to go. Also has good fishing.
