Its a wonderful place to go horseback riding. The trails are nice wide and very well kept. Mostly shaded, good parking, and with a nice mounting block for those people who need it.
February 23 Perfect day hike or run by Runner
This forest is absolutely beautiful and well kept. I run the trails and have seen deer, lots of birds and enjoy its tranquility. Great place!
January 30 Best place to exercise by Lind L. Tailor
I go here three to four times per week to jog the trails. Very peaceful away from the traffic noise and no fear of getting run over. There are multiple routes to jog, hike or run ranging from 2-6 miles depending on how you configure it. Park either at Jones parking lot the lesser known one at Cochrane trail (outside where the horse trailers park).

May 25 Good trailriding - conditioning by equinenut
Nice footing, deep sand in spots and straight and wide trails for conditioning purposes. There are some real trails off of the main ones. Only draw back is that there is no running water for horses so you have to pack your own! Nice to ride by yourself or with a group. There is only enough parking for about 8 trailers or so.
September 13 Nice bike trails by Bike Rider - JacobsReserve
One the last few forest areas for families to enjoy. Good trails on the north side of 1488 with newly constructed resting stops. Needs three pine trees cut off path and some bridge work. Otherwise, a nice bike ride.

April 15 Horse Lovers and Trail Hikers by Denise, Magnolia, TX
This is a great place to take your horse and spend the day on the trails. It is a well kept secret. You can spend the day riding and enjoying yourself on well groomed and maintaine trails. Plenty of shaddy areas. It is also a fun place to hike and look for wildlife. Bring your kids, fishing poles and good hiking shoes you can spend the entire day and not cover the park.
