The park's location between Calumet and Hancock makes a fine base for visitors to visit attractions such as abandoned shafthouses, tram cars, "poor rock" piles and ghost towns. Visitors of the Keweenaw are invited to explore the newly created "Keweenaw National Historic Park," which has preserved relics from the days when "Copper was King!"
The Keweenaw Waterway Lighthouse is located near the park and one of the attractions of the area.
