Visitors can enjoy a variety of boating activities, including motorized and non-motorized options. The lake is open for sailing, canoeing, kayaking as well as powerboating. There are also boat rental services available on-site if visitors do not have their own equipment. Furthermore, the park offers two boat ramps for easy access to the water.
Visitors can enjoy fishing year-round, with options for shore or boat angling. The lake is home to rainbow trout and channel catfish. Ice fishing is popular in winter months when conditions permit it. A valid New Mexico fishing license is required for all anglers aged 12 and up.
