review rating - 1 to 5 stars Great park but campground is not good - The location of this park is great and the many challenging hiking trails are wonderful. But the campground is overall the worst state park campground weve stayed in for years. It feels old and poorly maintained. The water has been under a must boil alert for months but I couldnt find a mention of that on their site. Half of the s showers are out of service. The rest are dirty and dont allow you to regulate the temperature. Our camping site is very tight and completely unlevel. We would not recommend this campground.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars Beautiful, friendly and clean - We needed a site for our conversion van for the night. We were able to get a beautiful private waterfront site to watch the sunset. The next morning we kayaked and swam. It was heavenly. The comfort station for showering is the best we have seen so far. Dont miss this lovely park Very affordable and friendly.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars Closed on July 19 - Whats wrong with this picture The middle of summer, a beautiful day, and the gates are closed Cars parked out on the highway, families with kids walking to the beach. No lifeguards either

review rating - 1 to 5 stars Beach covered in Goose poop - We love Moosehead and coming to this campground is something weve done since childhood but I will not be coming back due to the fact that the state literally cannot clean up the goose crap that has spoiled the beach and the grass leading up to it. Seriously what did the entrance fee cover if they cant come down and make it so you can enjoy the beach. So disgusting and gross

review rating - 1 to 5 stars Best Park in Maine - Okay, so I may be a little biased, but there are amazing mountains for all ability levels, the campground is gorgeous on many many acres. The swimming is perfect. Boat rentals reasonable. Nearby is Coos Canyon to jump off cliffs into mountain stream water. And the nature center is quite good . Movie night in the ampitheatre is always a highlight as well. NOT to be missed. And my personal favorite part is renting a boat to boat across the lake to have a quick snack on the deck of the Kawanhee Inn before boating back. And the rangers are lovely.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars Nice, grass lot for tent camping - We stayed here for the first time visiting in the fall and found the park to be very nice. Acadia National Park is a short distance away as is Lamoine Beach which is a nice area to walk along the shore. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars - Five stars my aunt patooty. It it holds 20 cars which are bullied and frightened by the caretakers. When you go to the park ranger station, a 20-year old kid looks at you with a grin, his green shirt pulled out, and hair literally down to his belt. The most terrifying night of my life. Sleep in your car.
8/21/2017 1:30:11 PM Crescent Beach State Park by Disappointed in the State Park
review rating - 1 to 5 stars So disappointed - We went to Crescent State Park in Cape Elizabeth on Sunday 8/20/17 all over the beach there was dried sea weed. The smell was so bad we left. For $8.00 a person, I think the beach could be raked. There were people from all over the US. Sad

review rating - 1 to 5 stars excellant boogie boarding surf, - I have been there four times in the last month and yesterday was great. We spent almost 2 hours boogie boarding in the surf. This is by far the best state park in the system. I enjoy being in the water even on a cloudy, foggy day boogie boarding in the surf.

review rating - 1 to 5 stars A Great Maine Vacation Spot - We love this spot for fishing, swimming and the beautiful scenery. The Rangers are great too!
